Chapter background
The Muskingum Lakes Chapter covers a scenic stretch of eastern Ohio where waterways and history intertwine. Volunteers in this region help maintain trail segments that pass through historic canal paths, rolling hills, and some of Ohio’s best recreational lakes, supporting access and enjoyment for hikers and paddlers alike.

- Tuscarawas River watershed
- Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District (includes seven lakes)
- Ohio and Erie Canal remnants
- Hills of eastern Ohio shaped by strong hydrological forces
