Volunteer Spotlight: Sally Rynazewski
April, 2026.
Since joining the Buckeye Trail Association in 2023 and beginning her volunteer journey in 2024, Sally Rynazewski has quickly made a meaningful impact. Recently surpassing 100 hours of service, Sally exemplifies steady commitment, attention to detail, and a radiantly positive attitude.
Sally jumped right into hands-on trail work at a Chapter work party, and is currently a Trail Adopter in the Bedford Section - where she keeps her miles well-blazed and carefully maintained. Beyond the trail, Sally saw a need at the BTA office and took initiative: traveling from Northeast Ohio to Southeast Ohio to assist with administrative projects. She has done a tremendous job sorting and organizing documents, even creating a simple and effective system to keep everything in order.
Known for her focus and follow-through, Sally consistently delivers high-quality work while bringing energy and enthusiasm to every task. She’s a joy to work with and an inspiring presence in the volunteer community.
Outside of volunteering, Sally enjoys hiking and spending time in nature. She has participated in the Little Loop Challenge and joins group hikes with the Crooked River Chapter. She is also passionate about knitting, crafting, and paddleboarding, and remains an active leader in her community.
Thank you, Sally, for your initiative, positivity, and dedication to the Buckeye Trail!
