The Buckeye Trail Association (BTA) members take great pride in assisting young men by providing opportunities for Eagle Scout projects. The focus of the project is to develop leadership skills as you provide service to our organization. The BTA is anxious and excited to begin working with you on your project! We hope that you are excited, as well.
The following information will assist you to get your project started on the Buckeye Trail (BT). Please fill out the Eagle Project Application, which will provide us with necessary information about your proposed project and will help ensure that the project is started in a timely manner. Please return the completed application to the BTA Scouting Liaison, . Upon approval of your application, the Liaison will contact you with further information concerning the scope and details of the project.
BTA passes through many National, State, Local, and Private lands that can benefit from your service. If you are struggling to think of a project, contact us. Under certain circumstances, the Liaison will have a list of projects that need to be completed.

Please note: The BTA receives many requests each year to provide Eagle Scout projects. Please remember, it is the responsibility of the Scout, in keeping with the spirit of the Eagle project, to approach the BTA with their own idea for a project and then to work closely with the BTA in implementing the proposal. We invite you to hike the Buckeye Trail, looking for areas that need improvement. It is also the responsibility of the Scout to provide funding for the project through donations of time, material and/or money from members of the community. The BTA is a volunteer organization with limited funds. We would, however, like to help with volunteer hours from our membership.
