The Bowerston Section blends quiet country roads with off-road segments through the scenic Muskingum Watershed Conservancy District lands. Its route follows shorelines, wooded ridges, and rural valleys, with several miles tracing the edges of large lakes. Small towns provide convenient rest stops between stretches of peaceful, undeveloped trail.

Deersville: Deersville General Store is locate 0.4 mi E of Point 17 on Main St.

Bowerston: There is a convenience store located on State Route 151 at Main St. After crossing SR 151, turn W for 0.4 mi. Or, after crossing SR 151, follow the trail to Point 11 and go NW 0.3 mi on Main St to reach the store.
