• Point 8: Independence Dam State Park has day use parking with 71 spaces.

• Point 8: Independence Dam State Park East has day use parking with 273 spaces.

• Point 9: Independence Dam State Park-Florida Trailhead provides day use parking with 6 spaces.

• Point 10: Canal Falls River Access Trailhead has day use parking with 6 spaces.

• Point 11: Miami, Wabash, and Erie Canal Towpath Hike & Bike Trail Trailhead, day use parking area with 4 spaces.

• Point 11: Ritter Park has day use parking with 79 spaces.

• Point 11: Wayne Park has day use parking with 35 spaces, water, and restrooms.

• Point 11: Meyerholtz Maumee River Access has day use parking with 41 spaces.

• Point 12: Vorwerk Park has day use parking with 23 spaces and restrooms.

• Point 14: North Turkeyfoot Wildlife Area provides day use parking with 23 spaces.

• Point 15: Miami, Wabash, and Erie Canal Trailhead, has day use parking with 8 spaces.

• Point 17: Providence Dam Metropark, Canal Boat, and Isaac Ludwig Mill provides day use parking with 56 spaces, restrooms, water, and picnic tables.

• Point 17: Bend View Metropark has day use parking with 42 spaces, plus restrooms.

• Point 17: Providence Metropark-Dam Area features day use parking with 60 spaces, restrooms, water, and picnic tables.

• Point 18: Farnsworth Metropark Boat Launch and Campsites has day use parking with 33 spaces, restrooms, and water.

• Point 19: Indianola Picnic Area has day use parking with 46 spaces, restrooms, water fountains, and a picnic area.

• Point 19: Roche de Bout Trailhead has day use parking with 5 spaces.

• Point 20: Waterworks Park has day use parking with 5 spaces and restrooms.

• Point 20: Roche de Bout Picnic Area has a day use parking area with 31 spaces, plus restrooms, water fountains, and a playground.

Camping locations

• Point 4: Defiance Reservoir campsite is within Defiance Parks and Recreation Reservoir Park. Call Defiance police at 419.784.5050 before arrival. No charge. Carry in, carry out.

• Point 8: Independence Dam State Park offers 25 reservable, non-electric, tent campsites with non-potable water, as well as four primitive campsites. For reservations, call Ohio State Parks Reservations: 866.744.6727. Restrooms and parking are available. Fee.

• Point 13: Rotary Riverside Preserve Campsite, located1 .7 miles east of the Route 6 overpass, this a primitive campsite is available via the Black Swamp Conservancy. To make reservations, call the conservancy director at 419.833.1025 at least 48 hours prior to your arrival.

• Point 14: The Henry County Camping Shelter is a primitive site with a three-sided log shelter near the village of Liberty Center in Henry County at (41.41097, -84.00750). Leave no trace.

• Point 16: Mary Jane Thurston State Park. Leave the trail just east of Ludwig’s Mill to climb up to state Route 29 and follow south across the Maumee River. Turn west onto Front Street, then leave Front St and follow the canal heel path west into the State Park past the lock (0.3 mi). Tent camping is located across creek. Restrooms and shower are available. For reservations, call Ohio State Parks Reservations at 866.644.6727.
