This update applies to the 2020 printed Shawnee section BTA map and the 2025 FarOut app.

On the printed map, the Mineral Springs Lake campground is referenced at Point 3 and in the Camping Along the Trail Section. In the FarOut App the campground is referenced at Point 3.

The campground was sold to new owners who have changed the types of camping allowed to be only as monthly rental sites for camper/RV type vehicles. No walk-in sites are available and tent camping is not allowed at all. Please plan your hike accordingly.
