This trail alert applies to all BTA map products. It affects the Buckeye Trail (BT) from Points 26-27 in the St Marys Section.

Work begins on the Miami Erie Canal Towpath Trail on 9-15-2025 and will last approximately 6 months. The work includes raising the level of the towpath and replacing the Vail Pond spillway. As a result, the towpath from US 33 to Pt 27 at Glynwood Rd will close 7am - 5pm daily for workweek days, but will be open weekends.

The detour for the route begins at Pt 26, Lock 13 Parking w/Shelter House in St Marys:

At High St, turn R (slightly NE).
At Spruce St (SR 66), turn left (N).
Eventually pass a small shopping center and cross over US 33.
At CR66-A, turn L (N).
Reaching Glynwood Rd (T-160), turn L (W).
Pt. 27. Towpath at Glynwood Rd (T160), Continue on the BT as described in your BTA map product.
