The trail’s long. Go together.

What is a circuit hike?

A circuit hike means completing the entire Buckeye Trail—more than 1,400 miles of connected trail forming a loop around Ohio. Some hikers tackle it in large Sections, or even all at once. Others complete it gradually, one weekend or one day at a time. However you approach it, every mile brings you closer to a full circuit—and every step is part of your story.

Hike with our trail community

The Buckeye Trail Circuit Hike group meets one weekend a month to hike portions of the trail with no pressure—and no prerequisites. Some hikers are aiming to complete all 1,400+ miles. Others come for the camaraderie, the scenery, or just a good day on the trail. Everyone’s welcome.
